Cast your vote for the Teens' Top Ten

Teens' Top Ten is a "teen choice" list, where teens nominate and choose their favorite books of the previous year! Nominators are members of teen book groups in fifteen school and public libraries around the country. Nominations are posted on Support Teen Literature Day during National Library Week, and teens across the country vote on their favorite titles each year. Readers ages twelve to eighteen can vote at www.ala.org/teenstopten anytime between Aug. 24 and Sept. 18; the winners will be announced in a webcast featuring WWE Superstars and Divas during Teen Read Week.

Note: You can't vote yet, but you can check out the list of nominations.

September programs

Summer's almost over, but we are still planning teen programs for you! Patterson will have a different fun activity every Thursday in September at 4 p.m. Groves is starting a new book club called BLTs--that stands for Book Lovin' Teens--which will meet on Thursdays at 4:30 p.m. Come to the kickoff party on Thursday, September 10 at 4:30.

Main Event Extravaganza

Thursday, August 13 will be our last Teen Extravaganza. If you have not turned in your third game card, be sure to do that by noon on Wednesday (8/12) in order to receive a pass to Main Event. For those who have received a pass to Main Event, we will meet at the tables near the bowling lanes. We are going to start bowling at 11 a.m. After we bowl for an hour, we will eat pizza and follow that up with games (each teen will receive a $10 game card). You will want to bring additional money if you are going to play laser tag, golf, or play additional games. We will also have our last prize drawing for main event gift cards, mall money, and more. See you then.
