Lubbock Teens Have Talent Update

It's not too late if you want to come out and show off your talent. There will be a karaoke machine available for anyone who wants to sing. Christy Moreland had an unexpected trip and will not be able to come but she has gotten us a talent scout to take her place as judge. If you know anyone who is not in the program but is a great singer, dancer, or musician please let them know about today's program. It starts at 2 p.m. at Godeke.

Tuesday Game Day

Working hard on your teen game cards (sign up for the teen reading program to enter our reading game)? Come to Groves Tuesday, June 7 at 2 p.m. to play Wii video games and a variety of board games. On top of getting to spend the afternoon playing games, you will be able to check off two activities on the card just by coming to one event!

In a band or play an instrument? Like to sing or dance? Are you a budding magician or great at Karaoke? Show off your talent at Godeke Branch Library on Thursday, June 9 starting at 2 p.m. Do you think you have what it takes to win this talent contest? We Sure Do! Join the 2nd Annual Summer Mahon Library Chess Club, Meeting Tuesdays from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. starting on May 31st.

Once Again SPICE, The Nationaly recognized Texas Tech University Chess Club, will sponsor the program. A SPICE member will be on hand during the meetings to help you improve your game!

Middle School through High School students...Beginners, Intermediate and Expert players are welcome to join.
