Recycled News Shoes

Join us this Thursday, July 1 at Patterson to make shoes from recycled newspaper. The program begins at 2 p.m. For more information about the program, call 767-3300.

Skating Extravaganza

If you have not turned in your second game card, make sure to do that by Monday. We are meeting at the Skate Ranch on Tuesday night from 6 to 8. There will be skating and pizza. Be sure to bring extra money if you want to play video games or get extra snacks at the snack bar.

Ten to Win

On Thursday at Mahon at 3:00 we will have our Ten to Win program. Teams are going to compete at different challenges for prizes. We are going to be playing with golf balls, oreos, watermelons, and more. Also we want to give a big THANK YOU to Walmart & Friends of the Library for sponsoring the program.

First Extravaganza

The second extravaganza will be on June 29. Don't forget to turn in your second game card, to receive a pass to skate and eat pizza.

Summer Extravaganza

Tomorrow is the first Teen Extravaganza. Hopefully everyone turned in their first game card and received your pass to go to the movies. We are meeting at Movies 16. A staff member will be at Movies 16 by 5:30 p.m. tomorrow. Come into the lobby to get your ticket. I recommend arriving at least 20 minutes before your movie begins but if you are planning on buying snacks plan to arrive 30 to 40 minutes earlier.

We are going to have our drawing for gift cards before 6:00. Winners will be posted to the blog on Friday. If you could not attend the event, you can pick up your prize at the library that you signed up starting on Monday.

Any friends, parents, or siblings that would like to come are welcome. They can purchase their tickets at the box office.

Groves Movie

Visit Groves today (Tuesday, June 15) at 3:00 p.m. to watch Alice in Wonderland. Refreshments will be provided.

Candy Chaos

Join us tomorrow at Mahon in the Community Room for Candy Chaos. Test your knowledge on candy, learn to make candy sushi or show us your sushi making skills, and more fun. Prizes of candy will be given out during the program.

Summer Extravaganza

Here are our options for next weeks movie at Movies 16:

Karate Kid at 6:20 p.m. Rated PG & is 140 minutes long.
The A-Team at 6:45 p.m. Rated PG-13 & is 119 minutes long. (check with parents)
Letters to Juliet at 7:30 p.m. Rated PG & is 105 minutes long.
Marmaduke at 6:05 p.m. Rated PG & is 89 minutes long.
Prince of Persia at 6:10 p.m. Rated PG-13 & is 116 minutes long. (check with parents)
Shrek Forever After 7:45 p.m. Rated PG & is 93 minutes long.

RSVP your movie choice to the blog or at Mahonps@gmail.com. Someone will be at Movies 16 starting at 5:30 to exchange your pass for a ticket. There is another showing of Shrek at 5:20 that we can get tickets for if you let us know before next Monday. Make sure to turn in your first game card by next Wednesday at noon to be eligible to attend.

Summer Extravaganza at Movies 16

We will be seeing either Marmaduke, Shrek 4, Karate Kid, or Prince of Persia (subject to change). There may be a few more options but they will not know the exact titles or times until next Wednesday, June 9. As soon as we know the times and titles we will post them. Be sure and RSVP next week to that post or at Mahonps@gmail.com. That way we can guarantee you a spot in the movie of your choice. If you haven't turned in your first card you will have until noon on June 16 to bring it in to receive a pass to our Summer Extravaganza.
